CALAGAN FESTIVAL 2010 in Surigao City Print

City Mayor Pons S. Casurra welcomed the participants of the Calagan Festival which was highlighted by the Grand Showdown at the Provincial Sports Complex on the 23rd of Feb. 2010.

Mayor Pons, in his message, looks forward to having a stronger tie among the Local Government Units, private stakeholders, and tourism-oriented organizations to spur economic development in the region.

Undersecretary Atty. Oscar Palabyab of the Department of Tourism was the keynote speaker of the 12th Annual General Assembly.

The contingent from Surigao del Norte won First Place among other contenders from the Province of Dinagat, Cities of Surigao, Cabadbaran, Bislig and Municipality of Cantilan.

 
 

August 2- The Honorable City Vice Mayor Danilo C. Menor receives the Plaque of Recognition from City DILG Director Mosquito during Monday’s flag raising ceremony in front of Surigao City Hall. The Surigao City Disaster Coordinating Council was declared as Hall of Fame Awardee being the consistent winner of Gawad Kalasag in Caraga Region from 2007-2010.

July 26- The Honorable City Mayor Ernesto T. Matugas assisted by Vice Mayor Danilo C. Menor awards the Certificate of Appreciation to Iluminada G. Ancla who retired as Board Secretary III after her Forty One ( 41 ) years of valuable and dedicated service to the people of Surigao. Ancla also received her 201 file and a Check representing her earned leave credits.
