The City Government will be observing the 18-Day Campaign To End Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC).

The City Government will be observing the 18-Day Campaign To End Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) on November 25-December 12, 2015 with the theme: End VAW Now! It's Our Duty! Gains and Ways Forward.
This year’s Campaign considers this period as another turning point in the city’s anti-VAWC advocacy. The expected change in leadership at the national and local levels by mid-2016, makes this year’s campaign a fitting time for duty-bearers and advocates to reflect and take stock of milestones and accomplishments in the last five years (gains), continue looking forward to the vision of a VAWC-free community, and identify concrete / actionable steps towards reaching that vision (ways forward).
The following schedule of activities during this campaign will be spearheaded by the City GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) under the helm of Hon. Rise Faith R. Recabo, chairperson of the Committee on Women and Family, in coordination with the Provincial GAD Coordinating Council:
